At Battle Creek Elementary Environmental Magnet School each grade has an environmental area of focus which is tied to the science standards at that level. By the end of each school year all of our students will be an "expert" in that area and by the end of sixth grade all of our students will be "experts" in eight different areas. Learning experiences in these focus areas will be integrated into Reader's, Writer's and Math Workshops to foster environmentally literate learners.
