Image Gallery: Walk Around the Pond
All students and staff take on the annual walk around the pond the first week of school.
What a great day! Students observe the fall foliage as they walk around the pond. The grass sure is tall! It's a great day for a walk. Students and staff start the Walk Around the Pond.

After the assembly students participated in the 25 book parade and walk around the school.


Image Gallery: Awards Assembly and Performance
Students take part in performances each month during the awards assembly. There are also classes that perform special programs throughout the school year.
A student receives an award from Ms. Murphy, our school principal. The third graders lead the singing of the garden song. A special guest attends our test rally to help us cheer!!! The Science Fair participants receive their awards. The kindergarteners perform. The first graders await their performance... The "Books of the Month" as portrayed by the fourth grade students during the awards assembly. Fourth graders sing. First grade students sing for an attentive audience. Third grade students sing songs that were written for Owl Moon. The students read facts about owls after reading the book Owl Moon by Jane Yolen. Our principal, Ms. Murphy leads the assembly. Students act out part of the story, Some Birthday! Presentation of fourth grade program based on the book, "Some Birthday" by Patricia Pollaco. The third grade sings "The Twelve Days of Third Grade."

In January, along with the idea of the Winter Carnival, we celebrate winter with festivities. There are activities and events throughout the week and on Friday there is a parade that includes classroom royalty.
Winter Royalty!!! Our principal, our new turtle mascot and student that won the contest begin the Battle Creek Winter Carnival Parade. Welcome to our class queen... Watch out, here we come! Students display their floats. Those are great floats!

Stamping our journals! Kids love to get their faces painted! A sixth grade student is one of the nature guides on a walk through the woods, an Earth Night activity that was part of the annual celebration. Look a t what I've got!!
