Pre-K
The Pre-Kindergarten Program provides preschool education for children the year before kindergarten to prepare them for school success. Classes focus on teaching children to:
- See themselves as capable learners
- Develop reading, writing and math skills
- Work well with other children and adults
In Pre-Kindergarten, we practice following the rules and routines of our classroom and school. We practice social skills such as kindness, sharing and negotiation. We will also explore art, science and math while learning to be a member of a community. Throughout the day children will also be engaged in learning letter names, letter sounds, alliteration, rhyming, vocabulary and math skills. We work on these skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
