Occupational Therapy

At our elementary school, Ms. Jenny and Ms. Sophie are our friendly occupational therapists who help students build the skills they need to feel confident and successful at school. They use fun and practical strategies—like strengthening hands through play-based activities, practicing handwriting with multisensory tools, teaching calming techniques for big feelings, and helping students learn how to organize their materials and move safely around the classroom. They might also adjust seating, provide fidget tools, or create simple visual schedules to support students’ attention and independence. Ms. Jenny and Ms. Sophie work closely with teachers and families to make sure every child has what they need to participate fully, feel comfortable, and enjoy learning each day.
