Battle Creek Elementary Planting a Mini Forest with Great River Greening

Battle Creek Elementary has worked closely with Great River Greening during the school year. This fall, students helped plant more than 40 trees on school grounds and created a mini-forest with an additional 100 trees.

This next spring, students will plant another 900 trees in the mini-forest. Also, Great River Greening has partnered closely with BCE, planting over a 100 plants in their new Outdoor learning space called the "Outdoor Learning Prairie."  The amazing thing is students have done all of the planting!
